Project Cortex
Traditional knowledge solutions tend to focus on content. Knowledge in Microsoft 365 is different, because it puts the people using the knowledge in the center. Project Cortex delivers knowledge and data from your content to improve the quality of your time.
Microsoft 365 enables you to harness the knowledge and expertise of your organization, empowering everyone to make more informed decisions and take action faster. Project Cortex is a Microsoft 365 initiative that applies advanced artificial intelligence (AI) to empower people with knowledge and expertise in the apps you use every day.
Building on the leading content services of SharePoint, Project Cortex connects content in Microsoft 365 and external content and enables you to manage your information and streamline processes with advanced security, compliance and automated workflow.
SharePoint Syntex is available for purchase for all Microsoft 365 commercial customers. Other innovations from Project Cortex will become generally available later this year. Register here to keep informed.
How it works
Project Cortex applies AI to automatically organize your content, and delivers innovative experiences—topic cards, topic pages and knowledge centers—in Office, Outlook and Microsoft Teams.

SharePoint Syntex
SharePoint Syntex, the first product from Project Cortex, uses advanced AI and machine teaching to amplify human expertise, automate content processing, and transform content into knowledge. You can train Syntex to understand content like you do, to recognize key information, and to tag content automatically – helping you improve knowledge discovery and accelerate processes.
